Weeeee Ochem lab!

So I’m in an advanced organic chemistry lab this semester.  There are only 7 other people in it…..So when I’m like:

…the TA will notice. No room for error. However, I never broke anything last semester- no beakers, sep. funnels, etc. (Now watch me go break something tomorrow…knock on wood).  The most exciting thing about this semester is that we get to do our own NMRs! We get to go to a tiny room in the back and use the machines themselves :D Last semester we just submitted them and got the spectra back the next lab. Given that NMR was my favorite topic of 2nd semester, I’m pretty stoked.
I’m also excited for the independent research project the second half of the semester…can’t wait to see what group I’m paired with.  If all goes according to plan, I’ll continue work with them in the summer and into the following school year!
